CIACLA is seeking new members for our Board of Directors!

About CIACLA

CIACLA is a non profit 501(c)(3) arts organisation that promotes Contemporary Irish Culture and supports local communities in Los Angeles through a multidisciplinary diverse programme in collaboration with local and international cultural partnerships. CIACLA is focused on developing a creative platform to support and challenge artists as a means of promoting creative innovation and collaborative initiatives in Los Angeles and across the USA. Visit these links to learn more About CIACLA and our previous Program.

Board Position Summary:

This volunteer position will work in a collaborative environment to provide oversight and direction to CIACLA’s staff and fellow Board Members.  CIACLA’s Board members work together to oversee the strategic direction of the organization. The aim for CIACLA’s expanding board is to be composed of artists, arts professionals and experts who contribute experience in fundraising, financial management, human resources, administration, and technical expertise to our successful operation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Guidance and oversight to advance CIACLA’s mission and strategic plan
Quarterly Board meetings [ via zoom or in person]
Governance of the organization, including oversight of the operations, fundraising, artistic planning and development, if relevant applying legal and financial expertise for the non profit organization.

A full agreement and responsibility breakdown will be provided to interested applicants.

Who are we looking for:

  • A Board Member with Financial Experience willing to donate some time to assist with financial bookkeeping.
  • A Board Member with Legal experience willing to donate some time to assist with legal advice / administration.
  • A Board Member with experience in Fundraising willing to donate some time fundraising.
  • 5 Board Members that can assist the organisation through financial, cultural, community or networking abilities alongside a financial contribution via a give/get agreement can help the organisation grow. {A Give / Get Agreement means a member will agree to donate a fixed amount to the organization or fundraise that same amount}
